Longing.

During the second project at college as a yr2 student, I went through quite a lot of self-realisation. Or at least project-wise. Starting off with the themes of infrastructure, dark tunnels and cold streets [unusual, yes..] I developed into abandoning some of the initial ideas and went towards - for the first time at college - emotion. Shameful me for going into all the rather sad emotions though. Longing, separation, and in general - love [I've been trying to make my mind up about what I think it actually is - came to a thought that it's a mixture of lust and a weapon against loneliness] have become my new themes, though still in dark, urban surroundings. Mostly empty train station platforms, cold terminals and modern forms and shapes, not necessarily figurative at all.

Heavy influence has had Wiśniewski's books, like 'Samotność w Sieci' [Alone in Web], 'Los Powtórzony' [Fate Repeated] as well as my own observations and interest in human behaviour and psychology in general.

As I was developing my ideas, I've also happened to touch the more romantic side of the whole thing, like love letters and everything they carry.

In the end, it's quite hard to select a body of work that could be understood as the 'Final Outcome'. In the 1st year I used to have one piece of work maximum as my outcome. Since the beginning of the 2nd year I started to think in other ways, and for my previous project I had 5 outcomes; for this one - I think it will be a whole structure of outcomes. The backbone of course will remain photography, with mechanical lino prints with traces of painting and calligraphy and very conceptual text. All of the three parts are designed to cooperate with each other.
