These are photographs very much influenced by the theme of the Dark Northern culture, the Black Metal movement, bands like Burzum or Darkthrone. I've been looking at heritage, pride and nationalism as well as old pagan beliefs of Scandinavia.
Trondelag is a part of Norway. Largest city in this area is Trondheim.

These illustrations were all part of the Finnish/Slavonic Mythology project. All of them based on different tales and beliefs.
These photographs are a part of my college final project. The whole thing was based on Finnish and Slavonic folklore. Here is a photographic illustration of the Tuoni Tale, according to which birds are the ones who take away the human soul at the moment of death and take it to Tuonela, the Land of the Sleeping Dead, and bring one to a new born child.
